The Northbridge Rotary Club presently pays all operating costs for the operation of a ‘Breakfast Club’ at Forrestfield Primary School, a State school in Perth’s south-eastern foothills, as part of a project designed and instigated in 2011 by Bev and John Lowe of Manna Inc. This initiative is designed to assist the children of disadvantaged families by ensuring that no child at the School has to go without breakfast on each school day.

Reports from the first years of operation, both anecdotal and formal, suggest that academic performance and classroom behaviour has improved as a result of this excellent project.

For more information on either of these projects, please contact Peter Nevin, Club Secretary, at secretary@rotary-northbridge.org or on 0421 280 379.
