“My Home” has hit a key milestone with funding announcements of $2.2m from Lotterywest, $500,000 from Minderoo and additional support from the Sisters of St John of God to construct the first 18 homes in North Fremantle.

A contingent of Rotarians gathered alongside “My Home” founder Michelle Blakeley to hear Minister Simone McGurk and St Pat’s CEO Michael Piu pay tribute to the innovation and community support this project has generated, to provide secure housing for ageing women at risk of homelessness.

Meanwhile Rotary is living up to its pledge to ‘turn a house into a home’ by co-ordinating fundraising and in-kind donations to furnish all 18 homes.
