More 250 Rotarians and guests gathered at the Hyatt Regency Perth Hotel for a special lunch on Monday 22 November 2018 to honour Stan Perron AM for his contribution to business in WA and to Rotary as a member of the Rotary Club of Belmont for nearly 60 years.

Sadly, Stan Perron died in November 2018, and Past District Governor Fred Marsh has worked with Stan Perron’s family to develop the Stan Perron Award, which seeks students with potential to be of the calibre of Stan Perron and succeed in their future business or a profession.

The Award Panel wishes to seek student candidates who may not be Dux or Sportsperson of the Year, but are very good students, both academically and at sport, make a contribution to the school community service and who emulate the elements of Rotary’s Four Way Test which Stan Perron build his business around.

      The Rotary Four-Way Test:

  • Is it the truth?
  • Is it fair to all concerned?
  • Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
  • Will it be beneficial to all those concerned?

Ten students to receive the Stan Perron Medal and a $500 Scholarship each year.

Students in Year 12 at any Government High School are eligible to enter. The school must be linked to a Rotary Club.
