Did you know that the majority of Rotarians join Rotary because a Rotarian invited them?

Join DG Ineke and her team as we explore how you can share your unique Rotary story without getting tongue-tied or leaving out the invitation bit!

This will be an enjoyable afternoon where we will learn from each other as well as from others who do this very well. Come along if you have something to learn, something to share or a mix of the two!

It is all on Zoom, to ensure you can attend in the comfort of your own home and be ‘covid-safe’.  You are also welcome to get together with others and join in as a group. We will be finishing with a BYO sundowner.

This is the first of our Adventure series this year. We are very excited to get started! See you there!

3:00pm - 6:00pm Sunday 28 August 2022

Here is the link for the session, copy it to your calendar once you have registered:

RAWCS (Rotary Australia World Community Services) has launched the first national appeal for this Rotary Year through the Rotary Australia Relief Fund.
Project 1-2022-23 is open for donations to support and resource the Rotary Clubs in the flood affected areas of the Sydney Basin and surrounding areas (this will include Broke, Singleton and other affected areas). We know that the local Rotary Clubs will be doing all in their powers to help their communities to deal with the third major flood in less than two years and will be there for the long haul when the media cycle and other agencies have moved on. Immediate support and longer-term activities to shore up the mental well being of the victims as they tackle yet another clean-up as well as rebuilding community infrastructure and supporting resilience is what Rotary does well. RAWCS supports and facilitates that vital work.

Please encourage the Districts and Clubs in your Regions to support this appeal by visiting www.rawcs.org.au and following the donation routine. The Sydney Flood Appeal will be featured on the home page.

RAWCS is also still actively distributing funds raised to support the victims of the SE Qld and NE NSW floods with vouchers and accommodation from the $900,000 raised through Appeal 47-2021-22 and the delivery RABS project 54-2021-22.

RAWCS has a new statement of what we do, our why statement:
Rotary Australia World Community Service “Our passion is to help and strengthen communities and individuals in need through humanitarian projects.”

With the current series of natural disasters in Australia, our focus on community Recovery and Resilience is keeping us busy indeed.

David Pearson
Chairman
Rotary Australia World Community Service Ltd
