Join us on June 7th when Small Business Development Corporation CEO and Commissioner, David Eaton, will launch the SBDC/RMBWA partnership program, designed to deliver free, relevant business training modules to RMBWA members.

As SBDC CEO and Commissioner, David is responsible for the broad range of services delivered by the SBDC including its dispute resolution and mediation service. The Commissioner also conducts investigations into corporate and business practices which hinder small business and economic growth; and provides advice on policy and regulatory matters impacting on the small business sector to all tiers of government and in particular, to the Western Australian Minister for Small Business.  David is the longest serving Small Business Commissioner in Australia and has extensive business management experience, both as a small business owner and in senior corporate positions in Western Australia and Victoria.

Our world has changed dramatically in recent years and in many ways it has accelerated societal shifts. In this special event, we will be joined by John Worsfold, a 2 time Premiership Captain who has coached both Essendon Football Club and the West Coast Eagles Football Club.

John will be the keynote speaker and share his personal leadership journey and insights in what it means to be a good man in a world of change. A panel discussion will follow the topics of leadership, mental health, masculinity both on and off the field.

The launch of Reconciliation Memoirs with Fred Chaney will be hosted in WA Museum Boola Bardip’s stunning outdoor courtyard on Tuesday May 31, with an engaging fire-side conversation with Fred Chaney and Ben Wyatt.

 

We are inviting the community to journey through Kaarta Koomba (King’s Park) on June 3 for the Walk for Reconciliation. Live acoustic music will carry walkers through to meeting places dotted along the walk, featuring truth telling sessions, opportunities for reflection, and cultural experiences.

 

We are proud to partner with WA Museum, who will become the NRW Hub for 2022. WA Museum Boola Bardip, WA Maritime Museum and WA Shipwrecks Museum will lead activations in Boorloo (Perth) and Walyalup (Fremantle), with regional museums running local programs and collections for NRW.

 

Following up on the conference we offer a visit to the Perth Observatory. This is a great opportunity to visit both Historical Telescopes and the Worl Wangkiny exhibit where Aboriginal artists and students have painted stories of the sky and where you can hear stories of the galaxies from an Aboriginal Elder.
