Jessie Harman is a Director on the Board of Rotary International and is the first female to represent Zone 8 (Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands and New Guinea).  She is a member of the Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast in Ballarat and was Governor of District 9780, Australia in 2010-2011.  She had her very first experience of Rotary as a participant of RYLA. 
Jessie has an active interest in membership development.  She is a past chair of the Rotary International Membership Committee and a past Rotary Co-ordinator for New Zealand, Pacific Islands and part of Australia.   She is also a past International Assembly training leader and seminar trainer and was a member of the Honolulu Convention Committee.   
Jessie and her husband Andrew, also a Rotarian, are keen supporters of The Rotary Foundation, as major donors and Bequest Society members. 
In her professional life, Jessie has held senior roles in the Australian University sector, most recently as Pro Vice-Chancellor.  After a long career in higher education, and in particular international education, she now works as a consultant, non-executive director and independent chair.
